The Refurbishment of St Michael's church
Following the quinquennial report, the following work was carried out on the barn church.
- Overhaul roof and replace about 50 tiles
- Examine ridge tiles and repoint
- Supply and fit new expanded metal lathing to eaves
- Supply and fix new aluminium gutters and pipes
- Excavate and provide gully and drains to new soakaway
- Fit missing quarry tiles in entrance lobby
- Repair window sill in nave north wall
- Supply and fix battens to rafters
- Supply and fix 12mm plasterboard
- Fill joints and paint
The work was completed on time and budget in February 2005.
Half the cost will come from the PCC and the other half from the Friends of St Michael's
