February 14th at 6.30 p.m. - the gathering
Robin Meredith of New Directions Theatre Company presents Amazing Grace.
John Newton, now an old man, dreams of his past life. Images of drunkeness and evil, of fierce Atlantic storms,
of the stark horrors of slavery all entwine with a passionate love for one woman.
In such a whirlpool of emotions, he discovers the true path of God's amazing grace that leads him to the priesthood
and a desperate personal battle against the evils of slavery.
Admission free. Refreshments afterwards.
Lent Walks
Join us for a series of walks in Lent. The aim is to walk around the parish boundary, as accurately as footpath and access
allows in stages over 4 consecutive Saturdays starting on February 27.
We will pause during the walk for some short readings appropriate for Lent (and for some of us to catch our breath).
Each walk will be about 4 miles and transport will be available back to the starting point of each stage.
