Pugin chimneys in Albury village
The Society was founded in 1971 with a view to researching the history of the parish and accumulating
permanent records. In addition, there is a yearly programme of talks, walks and visits that aim to
encourage a wider interest in local history.
All Albury original parish registers and parish documents are held in the Surrey History Centre
at Woking. However, a considerable amount of material is held in the Albury History Society archives.
This includes old Parish Magazines, old photographs and local knowledge of people, properties and history.
