Church Services

What are our services like?

We believe God wants to speak to you where you are, and we worship in a variety of styles – we hope you find something that helps you, and also encourage you to try a different form of service from time to time.

Below is a typical month’s pattern. This does change for Easter, Christmas, and other reasons, and if we’ve been efficient you can find the current month under ‘What’s on – Calendar’.

We currently livestream the 9.30 services via Zoom (use the ‘Livestream’ tab above) and also posting the recordings (‘What’s on – Service Videos’). From March 2023, the Communion Services (normally 2nd and 4th Sundays) will be in person only without being  streamed.

You can email us or phone us. Tell us if you’d like to hear regularly with news and updates.
The church is open every weekend for visiting or spending time in reflection and prayer, and food bank donations can be left in the lobby.

The normal main Sunday service is at 9.30 a.m. in the Parish Church
(St Peter and St Paul, Albury)
– check ‘What’s on’ for which type, and in case of changes

ALL AGE WORSHIP – 9.30 A.M. FIRST AND THIRD SUNDAYS

A relaxed service of 50-60 minutes with a first part for everyone; there are groups in the second part for children up to school year 2 and school years 3-7, as well as adults continuing in the body of the church. Music is a mixture of traditional and contemporary.

COMMUNION SERVICE – 9.30 A.M. SECOND AND FOURTH SUNDAYS

A straightforward service of about 60 minutes based on ‘Common Worship’. The music is largely traditional in style but does include some contemporary songs.

MORNING WORSHIP – 9.30 A.M. FIFTH SUNDAYS

Usually a relatively informal service of up to 60 minutes. Will sometimes include Communion (see calendar). The music is a similar mix to the all-age services.

COMMUNION USING THE BOOK OF COMMON PRAYER – 8.00 A.M. FIRST AND THIRD SUNDAYS

A simple said communion service using the Prayer Book, lasting about 30 minutes.

MESSY CHURCH – 4.00 P.M. SECOND SUNDAYS

Intergenerational worship to which everyone is welcome. Songs, activities, stories, and the occasional unexpected! Finished off with a lovely tea. The duration up to teatime is about 60 minutes.

LITTLE FISHES – 9.30 A.M. IN TERM TIME AT ST MICHAEL’S FARLEY GREEN

A lovely gathering for pre-schoolers and their lookers-after. Plenty of chat, super refreshments, toys for the little ones, and a simple toddler-friendly service.
