EVENTS AT ALBURY AND FARLEY GREEN FOR
APRIL 2023
EASTER SERVICES
You are very welcome to any of these. There is no ‘membership requirement’ to attend!
Thursday 6 April (Maundy Thursday) – we remember Jesus’ last supper with his disciples at a small Communion Service at St Michael’s Church, Farley Green. Parking on the Green. Please contact us for directions if you aren’t sure where St Michael’s is.
Friday 7 April (Good Friday) – We meet at the Old Parish Church in Albury Park to think about Jesus’ path to the Cross, and why, with a variety of music. Enjoy a warm drink and hot cross bun afterwards. You might need to dress warmly to meet in this ancient building.
Sunday 9 April (Easter Day) – How about greeting the sunrise and remembering Jesus’ victory over death with a service at the top of St Martha’s Hill? This service kindly hosted by Chilworth Parish involves a number of Guildford churches. The speaker will be the Rev. Ian Stackhouse, Pastor of Millmead Baptist Church.
We follow our 8.00 a.m. Communion in the Parish Church in Church Lane with 9.30 Easter Day celebration worship for all ages. Come and praise – but also enjoy.
At St Michael’s Farley Green, there is a quieter service of Communion at 11.00 a.m. – everyone is very welcome.
Sunday 16 April – Our Easter services are rounded off with a special Messy Church – an intergenerational gathering for song, story, activities – and tea! It helps to know numbers, so a quick email to say you would like to come would be great. Parish Church, Church Lane, 4.00 p.m.

The Annual Meeting – there’s nothing like a good piece of bureaucracy! (and we’ll try to make this nothing like a good piece of bureaucracy). Come for a sum-up of the year and to set us up legally, but we hope interestingly, for the next year, on Sunday 23 April at approximately 11.00 a.m. after the morning service.
